Sheriff Justin Smith

Justin Smith served three terms as the Sheriff of Larimer County, Colorado and has 35 years of law enforcement experience and is the founder of Cameron Peak Solutions, a public safety consulting company.

Sheriff Smith has a Bachelor’s Degree in Administration of Justice from Wichita State University and a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Colorado’s Graduate School of Public Affairs.

In addition, he is a graduate of the 223rd session of the FBI National Academy and the 102nd session of the National Sheriffs Institute.

He is a past president of the County Sheriffs of Colorado and a former member of the executive board of the National Sheriffs Association and a past co-chair of their Homeland Security Committee.

Sheriff Smith has been a member of numerous local, state and national professional associations and boards as well as a variety of local non-profit boards.

In addition to his work as a sheriff, he also served as an adjunct professor of Criminal Justice at Colorado State University from 2004-2010.
