
Kay Lokey served as the deputy chief of the Administration Services Bureau for the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, retiring in April 2022.
During her 25-year career, Deputy Chief Lokey held various roles, including patrol shift supervisor, training academy, background and recruitment and Domestic Violence. In 2014, she was promoted to Commander of the Midtown Hill Police Precinct where she fostered strong community relationships between officers and the diverse neighborhoods they serve. In 2020, she was promoted to Deputy Chief of Police.
She is the former president of the National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives (NAWLEE) and serves as a National Advisory Board Member for Policy Leader Community Safety.
Deputy Chief Lokey holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management and a Master of Science in Public Service Management.
