Chair Kelley and the Committee: Statement on Election Mis/Disinformation

Chairperson Neal Kelley and the Committee for Safe and Secure Elections issues the following statement:

The Committee for Safe and Secure Elections (CSSE) believes that confidence in our elections is essential to keeping our institutions and our country strong. Creating or spreading false information about election administration and election officials is dangerous. Existing security measures are in place to protect our elections. All election officials, workers, observers, and Americans have a pivotal role to play in protecting our democracy. Intentionally casting doubt, spreading misinformation, and disrupting our elections has no place in our system.

If you have questions, check with trusted sources — your state and local election officials — for accurate information about election administration and results in your state.
