Scott McDonell

Scott was born and raised in Maryland before graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 1996 he was elected to represent downtown Madison on the Dane County Board. He was County Board Chair from 2005-2013. In 2013 he was elected Dane County Clerk. The County Clerk is the chief election official for Dane County which has a population of 580,000. Scott is the only chief election official to administer two presidential recounts.
