
Jonathan Bydlak, Director, Governance Program, R Street Institute
Jonathan Bydlak is director of the Governance Program at the R Street Institute. He also oversees the Fiscal and Budget Policy project and the Legislative Branch Capacity Working Group.
Previously, Jonathan was the founder and president of the Institute for Spending Reform and the Coalition to Reduce Spending, which advocated for spending and budget reform. He is the creator of SpendingTracker.org, the first ever real-time spending site that tracks the fiscal records of Members of Congress.
Jonathan received his bachelor’s degree in economics with minors in finance and political economy from Princeton University. He subsequently worked in finance at Bridgewater Associates and oversaw Ron Paul’s 2008 presidential fundraising operation.
